I have always wanted to learn to draw, I don’t know why and I know a lot of people feel the same. I looked up some tutorials online and just decided to give it a go. When I think back it was actually that desire that led me onto my craft obsession. Drawing led to watercolour painting, which led me down a path of discovering different crafts. Even though I’m still learning and finding my own way through these different mediums, I love how I just disappear into my own little world for a bit. I used to feel too shy about how amateur my stuff is to show it but then I started to realise that, only a couple of years ago I wouldn’t have even attempted any of these so I should be proud of myself. It’s only a hobby and the feeling of creating something myself is so satisfying. I have a very long way to go but decided to post some of my stuff anyway 🙂 The majority of them are from tutorials from the web, some were copied elements that I changed to what I wanted, so I’m really looking forward to being able to come up with my own stuff.

Meditating Monk – Copied from web. I’m pretty chuffed with this one, especially that I managed to show the highlights of the face in shadow.

Fire Girl – The original tutorial was a girl with her hair made up of fluttering butterflies. I ‘aliened’ her up a bit and added fire, I love the jet black background to really make her stand out.

Life in Hand – I took a picture of my hand in the pose and then tried to think what to put in it. I’m really pleased with how this turned out.

Mannequin Mask – Different elements from the web. I really need to work on perspective here but still pretty pleased with it
Nice! I know what you mean about the dragon eye but I still think this is a great picture. And death in bunny slippers is just brillant! I’m never asking you to recommend a babysitter though…

Thank you for commenting Vicky. Elsie is very good and makes amazing cupcakes, or at least that’s what Reaper Jr. says anyway
