4 methods 4 cushions

So this is a comfy post as it’s all about cushions!  All of these are cushion covers.  Some I bought inserts for and some I just used an old cushion I already had.  The inserts weren’t that expensive but were flimsy, but you could always stick 2 in if you wanted to pad it out a bit.

Bird CushionThis is my first, and so far only, attempt with a sewing machine.  I bought a load of remnant fabrics and loved this pattern so much I decided to make a cushion out of it.  I was very pleased with the result and there wasn’t even that much swearing involved!  Not bad for a rookie even if I do say so myself!

Cushion - side 1 This is a knitted patchwork one that I did.  I knitted the whole alphabet (the plain colour ones), and had no idea what to do with them.  I then realised that they fit an old cushion that I had Cushion - side 23×3, so decided that’s what I would do.  I broke up the letters with some picture and pattern blocks.

This last one was done using Tunisian Crochet. I know that ideally Cushion - Side 1 tunisianboth sides would be the same, but the idea came about thinking what to do with some practise pieces that I had, and I didn’t have enough of the Cushion - Side 2 tunisiancolours to do both sides the same.  But hey I’m still pretty chuffed that I made something 🙂

This final one is crochet.  I liked the Shades Cushionidea of the different shades fading.  I luckily had similar fading shades in four colours so decided on them.

So there you have it 4 cushions in 4 different ways.  You can never have too many cushions!! I hope you like them 🙂
